Asya Glass
In 2011, we expanded our production area in the glass sector by partnering with a factory in Istanbul and started to trade with European countries. In 2017, we established our own production facility under the name Asya Glass to further increase our production. We started to focus on tempered glass production.
Currently, our factory meets the tempered glass needs of companies that produce from many fields, especially sailors, furniture makers, computer workers, glass balconies, shower cabins, architects and engineers.
These types of glass, also called reinforced glass or safety glass, are more resistant to breakage than normal glass. Normal glass can break into sharp particles after breaking and cause injury. Tempered glass, on the other hand, breaks into small and blunt pieces when broken. Therefore, the risk of injury is minimized. Tempered glass is approximately 5 times more durable than normal glass of equal thickness. Its heat resistance is also higher than normal glass.
Except for fully tempered glasses, partially tempered glasses are also resistant to external stresses and thermal stresses. Partial tempering is carried out in the same furnaces and at the same temperatures as in full tempering. The only difference in this process is that the cooling is done relatively slowly. Glasses that are cooled more slowly have less pre-stress on the surface and a lower risk of breakage. Fully tempered glass is preferred for curtain walls, as partially tempered glasses are divided into larger pieces at the time of breakage, the glass can remain in the joinery cavity and the risk of breakage is lower.
